Understanding Lottery Games Odd And Even
Odd and even study high and low lottery draw patterns
in pick 3 lottery games.
There are 125 possible all even combinations in the pick 3 lottery numbers from 000999
and there are 125 possible all odd combinations.
These include the all even and all odd doubles and triples.
For a total of 250 all even or all odd game possibilities.
That is 25 percent of the 1000 possible numbers or a 1 in 4 chance that all even or all odd numbers will be picked.
Broken down the totals are:
 5 all even triples
 5 all odd triples
 60 all even doubles
 60 all odd doubles
 120 all even mixed combinations
 120 all odd mixed combinations
You don't have to be a mathematician !
There are many theories on the laws of large numbers , just some are Borel's law of large numbers, Chebyshev's inequality,
The Uniform law of large numbers, Strong law and Weak law of large numbers.
All with complex calculations behind them like this.
If your not a mathematician
For the purpose of explaining the examples on this page we have boiled it all down to this.
Lets look at odd and even numbers like a fair coin toss the odds are 50 50 one side heads the other tails.
Winning a coin toss would be child's play if in fact every other toss was heads. But in practice this is not
the case. You may flip three coins in a row that are heads, or even more then 3 times. However
according to many theories on the laws of large numbers eventually you will toss half heads and half tales,
if you play the game long enough.
If a very large number of coins or lottery balls are tossed it is likely to be very close to half odd and half even.
The proportion of odd vs. even will almost surely converge to 50 50 as the number of tosses or picks increase.
There is no principle that a streak of one value odd or even will immediately be balanced by the other.
In other words, if there is a game of all odd numbers picked, there is no reason to believe that the next game will
be all even. But eventually the odd and even picks will converge to 50 50.
In the examples below we show how odd and even draws progress.
The charts below will help you come up with a guideline for when converging balanced odds become true.
All of these totals come from the first 700 games in the 2009 Pa. State lottery online pick 3 history.

More even then odd numbers ran true for more then a 300 game period.
However if you look at the enlarged sample of part of that run, you will see that
odd and even in fact did converge several times if we had started our count at a different time.
First 20 games Red letters mark the ball where odd and even
converge with odd and even picks at the actual 50 50 odds.

The table below shows the first 100 games Red letters mark the ball where odd and even
converge with odd and even picks at the actual 50 50 odds.
Letters with purple background mark games
that odd and even picks came within plus or minus 1 of 50 50 picks but did not converge.
Games with highlighted backgrounds are all odd or
